What Causes Opaque Lesion On Sinus?

Question: I recently went to a dentist for dentures and after a panoramic test was done he advised me to see an oral surgeon. The xray showed an opaque lesion in the right sinus. It is causing me alot of worry. Why shouldnt I see an ENT first.

Hi, thanks for your query. If you could upload the x-ray taken, then we could review it together. In my opinion, it is possible you may have a sinus cyst or polyp. Such lesions are usually asymptomatic and do not need any treatment. You can consult an ENT specialist if you gave any symptoms of sinus infection, like nasal blockage, nasal discharge, headache, post nasal discharge.

I went through your reports. Yes there is a pathology in the sinuses. I would suggest you to consult with the ent specialist and get nasal endoscopy or CT scan of the sinuses done to know about the exact pathology. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
