What Causes Orange Vaginal Discharge Post Foley's Catheterization?
Question: I had a total hysterectomy 20 years ago. 5 weeks ago I had cardiac bypass surgery and twice since then I have noticed an orange mucous vaginal discharge. Just one spot and 2 weeks in-between occurences. Of course my most recent surgery included a Foley catheter for almost 1 week.
What can this be?
What can this be?
Brief Answer:
Catheter induced
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Orange mucus vaginal discharge followed by foley's catheterization is likely attributed to the catheter as catheter can cause injry as well as infection of the genital tract and present like this. I would suggest getting that discharge tested for infections as well as urine for UTI and then treat it accordingly with proper antibiotics and supportive care.
I hope it will resolve. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
