What Causes Overnight Fever, Intense Stomach Pain And Gas?
Question: On July 7th I experience food poisoning or salmonella. Over night fever followed by intense stomach pains for 24 hours.
It's been more than two months and I haven't had a solid bowl movement. Stool is liquid or semi liquid. Experiencing gas as well.
Blood work comes back fine. Stool cultures come back negative and no cdif.
Any suggestions.

Hello and thanks for your help.
No medication. Tums and pepto haven't helped.
No blood ever.
Stool ranges from very watery light brown bile tyme to darker bown soft substance. Nothing close to solid.
Pain sometimes but I can attribute that to gas. Sometimes a sharp quick Pain prior to a movement.
Typically 6 to 8 times a day sometimes more if: I need to sit when passing gas just in case there's water build up, can't take chance of soiling pants.

Hello again.
Based on your description, there appears to be IBS ( irritable bowel syndrome ) with diarrhea predominance. A two week course of a course of A PPI like Pantoprazole can be advised to see for improvement in dyspepsia, For the IBS Eucarbon and sucralfate can be a helpful combination. Eucarbon is a mild laxative with detoxifying properties due to the presence of charcoal and helps in regularizing bowel movements. Mebeverine and hyoscine can be used for the spasmodic pain episodes. In addition, Ispaghula husk intake twice a day with water, avoiding caffeinated beverages and alcoholic beverages should also be practiced as lifestyle changes or preventive measures. A barium enema study and /or colonoscopy can be considered if the symptoms persist despite adequate treatment.
