What Causes Pain About 2 Inches From Waist Line?

Large intestine should be checked with colonoscopy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Is the pain located above or below the waist line? Does it get worse after physical activity? Do you have any constipation, blood in stool, diarrhea? Any weight loss?
Does the pain radiate to the groin or leg as well? Have you had liver tests (AST,ALT,GGTP, bilirubin)?
Such symptoms can be caused by urinary tract issues (stones, infection), large intestine issues (polyp, tumor) or spine disc problem.
Urinary tract issues give usually frequent urinating, burning while urinating. Trace of blood in urine can be present.
Bloating is a symptom which may suggest large intestine problem. Especially that over the age of 50 the risk of colon cancer significantly rises. And all performed tests can be negative in case of such problem.
Spine disc herniation can also give abdominal pain and back pain. Especially if the pain starts from the back and radiates to the lower abdomen or even leg. Such pain usually gets worse after some physical activity.
I suggest you to have colonoscopy done at first. If urine has not bee checked yet, it should be done as well. Spine MRI may be also necessary (spine can be seen in CT as well).
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

I don't have diarrhea, but my stools are looser than normal. No weight loss as of yet. I had a colonoscopy about 5 years ago and had no polyps. Dr. recommended returning for another one in 10 years. No liver tests have been done other than looking at my liver with ultrasound, endoscope & CT scan.
Some more tests are necessary.
Detailed Answer:
Than I can see few thing which should be done.
Colonoscopy should be done every 10 years. That's the true. But only if there is no symptoms. If some gastrointestinal symptoms appear, it should be done sooner. So I suggest you to have it done once again.
Liver tests including AST, ALT, GGTP, AP, bilirubin should be done for sure. Ultrasound not always give proper image of what is happening. And bile ducts issues like a small stone can give such symptoms as well.
You should also consult orthopedist and consider spinal source of the pain.
For leg cramps, please try Magnesium with Potassium supplementation.
Regards.
