What Causes Pain After Draining Of Fluid From A Large Cyst?

The cysts began filling with fluid and became uncomfortable and painful I tried to tap and drain as much fluid as I could last Saturday two days later they refilled with fluid and were hard not flutuant like before and very panful. the right side of the scrotum is size of small grapefruit, I know I need a bilateral orchidectomy I waiting to get an appointment with a Urologly Specialist. I have been on Amoxicillin 1000mg for 7 days bid
no improvement, switched to Cephalexin 500mg bid no improvement

Hi,
I went through the details. From what I understand the symptoms became more painful and consistency of fluid also changed after you drained fluid. Based on these details, perhaps inflammation / infection may have set in after you drained fluid.
Cephalexin is good for contaminated infection such as the ones your described. However in my opinion you should also be started on antiinflammatory pain medication while an attempt should be made to drain fluid out under aseptic precaution.
Therefore you can also start over the counter pain medication along with cephalexin. Press for early urologist appointment. If early appointment isn't possible, visit the ER and get the fluid drained.
