What Causes Pain And Bleeding From Penis After Intercourse?
Looks like a bleed from a vein, localizing is important
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. If your kidneys, urinary bladder and urethra have been investigated in detail and no obvious cause of bleeding has been found then it is possible that the source of bleeding is external.
2. It is possible for frenulum tear to occur if the region around the frenulum gets painful when you have bleeding after sexual intercourse.
3. Another possibility is any of the superficial veins in the penis which might have got injured during sexual intercourse.
4. You might have sexual intercourse with a condom and then try to look for the source of bleeding and if it is in the region of the frenulum. It is possible to bleed from a vein in the region of frenulum. You might also use lot of lubrication jelly and then observe for any bleeding when you remove the condom.
5. It is important to know where exactly are you feeling the pain when there is bleeding. Veins in the penis are fragile and might easily rupture. Such veins require time for healing and then things might get back to normal. Superficial veins of the penis can be visualized on ultrasound scan. If not done till now, a ultrasound scan of penis might help to study the veins and if there is any bleeding area near the frenulum.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.

In fact the ultrasound of the penis as per the doctor revealed nothing.
The pain happens when the first attempt to insert the penis is made and on every movement there is pain. Yesterday i took the penis out after 10 seconds and noticed that the blood came from under the skin.
There is no blood on masturbation or urination etc...
I waited for 6 weeks before any sexual activity and the result was the same.
Can it be due to a tight skin that gets pulled back amd causes this bleeding?
What could be the cure? I read online about fernuloplasty
thanks
It is important to know if you bleed when having sex with lubricated condom
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. Since you have mentioned that there is bleeding only during the first attempt at sex, it is important to know if you have phimosis which is a condition when the foreskin fits tightly on the head of penis and cannot be retracted completely and when you try to pull it backwards then there is pain. In case phimosis is there then the possible treatment is circumcision or frenuloplasty.
2. It will be important to do a clinical examination and retract your foreskin as much possible and look for any laceration or bleeding area under the foreskin and near the frenulum.
3. Since there is no such bleeding during masturbation and urination therefore the cause for your problem is most likely the increased friction between the erect penis and vaginal walls.
4. I wish to know if you have ever had sexual intercourse with a well lubricated condom and if yes then whether there was any bleeding or not.
5. Indications for frenuloplasty includes tearing or bleeding of the foreskin, balanitis (infection in the foreskin), pain on intercourse, phimosis, ejaculatory problems and hygiene problems. In frenuloplasty, there is surgical modification of the frenulum such that any restricted movement that might be causing the pain or bleeding might be resolved.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
