Brief Answer:
Most likely problem related to cervical spine.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Your problem is most likely related cervical spine. Cervical spondylosis or intervetebral disc herniation of cervical spine can give such symptoms. Nerve compression or irritation gives pain towards arms or hand also.

A physical examination should be carried out by orthopedician to get clue for this and a X ray should be taken in case of positive findings, which will rule out the condition. Spam of muscles on the neck and trapezius muscles also is charcteristic for this.
NSAIDs like ketoprofen and Muscle relaxants like tizanidine for short duration will be helpful for this. Also avoid pillows. Using medicated pillows for cervical spondylosis also is good. Soft cervical collar also can be used for short period.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
