Question: I awake with my left arm above my head, straight not bent. Any thing to be concerned about that?

Hi,

I have read your query.

Can you elaborate what symptoms you have apart from straight arm.

Do have history of trauma previously ?

Do you have diabetes mellitus?

Do you have tingling sensation?

Sometimes this symptom also occur due to muscle pull ligament or capsules strain, osteoarthritis of that joint.

If answer to all my question is no, then nothing to worry, just have tab.aceclofenac100mg+thiocolchicoside4mg twice a day by prescription of your doctor.

If answer of any of my question is yes then have xray of elbow joint and shoulder joint in AP and Lateral view and send me the report.

I aslo advise you to have visit to orthopedic surgeon he may do your physical examination along with xray.

Also apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening.

Avoid weight lifting.
