Question: I am having problems on the bottom of my feet. the skin under my arch feels like it is stretched too tight. I do not have any burning or loss of sensitivity in my feet. Just the tight sensation. I have some general osteoarthritis in my back and fingers. I have chronic kidney disease and have had both hips replaced due to arthritis. I am generally healthy. I take a small dose of levothyroxine and Losartin for blood pressure. In the past, I have had a DVT in each leg. I have some varicose veins in my left leg.

Brief Answer:
It is affection of fascia at bottom of foot.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Thanks for the query on Health care magic platform. I have read it & understand your concern.
You seem to have early palntar fasciitis/ Fibromyalgia OR nerve supplying the part being pressed or kinked at spinal, hip, ankle level ..
- Plantar fascia is a hard band of tissue that connects heal bone with toes.inflammation of the tissue causes painful & tightness in arch.
- . Fibromyalgia is weakness inflammation & fibrosis of the bottom of poor due to involvement of muscles& fascia due to altered blood or nerve supply/ aging or over exertion & overuse of the arch.
I am thinking of these because of the health aliments like varicose veins, DVT , hypertension you have- that's why it needs to be excluded.
- Affection of nerve supply seems to be more possible in your case because lack of pain.
* In this context you need to consult an orthopedic surgeon . A through examination & relevant investigations would pin point the cause. This will be followed by cause specific management.
Self care- along with medicines prescribed, self care plays major role whatever the cause is.
- Light arch stretches under expert guidance help.
- Fomentation & massages do relieve the symptoms.
-lumber spinal exercises if advised by expert.
Thus expert's guidance & self care would help in managing the problem very well.
I hope, the answer was informative & useful to you, Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks
