What Causes Pain Below Right And Left Ribs Post Chemotherapy?
Question: I am a relapsed multiple myeloma patient on Velcade. Over last 2 Chemos I am getting pain below my right and left ribs, is it the side effect of Velcade?
January 2015 my autologus BMT did not give desired result. I am again on Velacde + Lenalidomide + dex chemo. Have finished 10 rounds of 16.
How to reduce it?

Brief Answer:
Pain probably related to tumour lysis.need to rule out splenomegaly.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I understand your query and concern.
Pain in your case is related to lysis of tumor cells leading to bone pain during chemotherapy.
I advise you to get a CT abdomen to rule out any metastatic deposits to spleen/splenomegaly.
If Metastasis ruled out,you need not worry pain will subside on its own.
Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.
