Brief Answer:
possible hernia recurence
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
If there is bloating, vomit or increasing pain or there is inabiulity to pass stool then you need to see surgeon as soon as possible since it may indicate incarcerated hernia with bowel obstruction or obstructions due to adhesions.
Otherwise, this may be hernia recurence but without incarceration and this can be managed with elective surgery.
However, in every case, you should do at least abdominal xrays to see if bowel is distended or not.
Wish you good health. Regards

Meaning I should go to ER and request X-ray ?Can a hernia come through a repair with a mesh? So bloated and hard stomach. I had bowel movement this morning.
Brief Answer:
Yes
Detailed Answer:
Yes,considering previous surgeries, it would be good to do xrays or barium enema bowel test, especially if you have pain with nausea or vomit or if bulge become hard and tender.
if you have just pain and there is no worsening then it is more likely to be gastritis and this can be managed with antiacid medications and urgent xrays may not be required.
Yes, it is possible to have hernia recurrence even if mesh was placed.
