Brief Answer:
You need to take muscle relaxant tablets regularly for a few days

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX

I have gone through the details and it seems that you could be suffering from either muscle spasm involving your lower back, or from lumbar spondylosis. In either case the presentation would be exactly similar to what you have mentioned. I would suggest you to undergo an X Ray of Lumbar Spine - AP and Lateral and so see an orthopedician with the reports. In either of the cases that I have mentioned, muscle relaxants should provide relief. I think that the medicine that was given as injection was a simple pain medication. Muscle relaxants are commonly given as oral medicines (the muscle relaxants given during surgery are not relevant in this context) and I suggest that you take medicines like Myospaz forte one tablet twice daily after food, for a few days. This is a prescription medication and you might need to get it prescribed by your doctor. Hot compress would provide relief. You might need physical therapy and seeing a therapist after the orthopedic opinion should be helpful.

Spondylosis could also involve the upper vertebrae and hence could explain the symptoms.

Hope that helps.
