What Causes Pain In Abdomen And Left Side Of Chest Area?

Question: Hi , last 10 days m having gastric problem, my stomack become fat , doctor has prescribe me cyra d ......is it okay.....i have a little pain near my left chest, can I drink alcohol....as I m going for a holiday in two days time.
I am really worried n I don't want to cancel my trip

I have read your query and understand your problem.

As you are complaining of pain in stomach and near your left side of chest and as your doctor has prescribed CYRA D, it means that you are suffering from gastritis which is a stomach inflammation.
Any consumption of alcohol at this stage may flare up your stomach problem and hence it is advised not to consume alcohol.

I know it is a dampener to your spirits but better to be away from alcohol till you become completely all right, however you can carry on with your tour.

Thank u for the responce...is this is serious matter?
Frankly speaking I am gong to bangkok....so I want to continue my trip I want to drink alcohol also.
What if I drink while taking cyra d...pls suggest me as I am really worried

Hello,
First of all don't worry as this is not a very serious matter.
CYRA D contains domperidone and RABEPROZOLE which is a proton pump inhibitor( PPI )
Although there is no specific warning regarding consumption of alcohol while using PPI's ,it is not a good idea to mix both as your existing gastric condition might worsen.
As far as use of couple of drinks is concerned,you may take but large amount of alcohol should not be taken.
A word of caution...in case you feel or get any unwanted side effects,stop consuming alcohol.

For instant relief can I take cyra d twice a day
I will take alchohol in small quantity as my trip is only for 6 days

There is no need to take it tice a day.
Just take once a day in morning on empty stomach 1 hour before your meals.

Hi as per our previous discussion.....I am feeling bit nervous now as my flight is tomorrow to bangkok....
Whether should I go or not....
Earlier doctor has given me drotin ds n cyra, as I am taking it for last 9 days...
What happen if I go to Bangkok n take at least 2 bottles of beer everyday
Will my gastric will b worsen enough to develop into ulcer.

Hello,
There is nothing to fear and develop anxiety unnecessarily.
Go ahead with your tour.
Drink one beer at a time.
You yourself would come to know whether it is suiting you or bothering you.if you develop discomfort after drinking,then stop it.
Go and enzoy and take drinks in limit.Dont go overboard with it.
Your gastric problem won't worsen to such an extent that it would become dangerous to you.
