What Causes Pain In Back And Chest Along With Sensitive Skin?

Question: Hi, I have been experiencing pain in my back and and on my chest and stomach. It feels like extreme bruising but there is nothing visible. My skin is sensitive to touch and if the in the cold it feels even worse. Any ideas on what it could be?

Hi Sir,

I understand your query and concern.

As per your symptoms this could be hyperalgesia,which is heightened response to pain perception.

This can present as a form of neuralgia.

I advise you to have an MRI spine to rule out organic causes arising out of the spinal cord.

Additionally nerve conduction studies/NCS will help to offer the extent of nerve pathology if any.

Drugs like Nurofen and Pregabalin will offer excellent remissions when taken under doctor's prescription.
