What Causes Pain In Back On Left Side And Bloating While On Antihypertensives?

default
Posted on Tue, 21 Jul 2015
Question: I have previously been.diagnosed with GERD, and took.Prilosec to aid in symptoms. I stopped several weeks go since symptoms disappeared. Tonight I am having a recurrence of bloating and general "not feeling good", but have no symptoms of an impending heart attack, but on reading symptoms to watch for I have had in the recent past night sweats and a pain in my back in the left side. I have high blood pressure treated with medication. I just checked my BP and it is 147/93. It normally is about 130/88. I also have sleep apnea and use a dental device to open airway. Since this is Sunday night, urgent care is closed. Should I go to ER or is this just the GERD coming. Back?

Brief Answer:
This is just for an extra care that helps in best outcome, Sir.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your history and an elucidate history.

Since you have been under antihypertensive treatment, sweats and pain in the back on the left side is definitely a symptom to worry about as EKG and Echo and cardiac work up alone can help us to find whether this is related to the heart or not.
I would advise you the following:
First of all restrict your movements completely.
Keep room aeration properly.
Call for Cardiac Ambulance.
If you have Sorbitrate take one dose sublingually.
Take your heart medicines.
Take PPI/Prilosec or Ranitidine if you have.
Antacid liquid if you have.
Disprin 75/150 if you have.

This is not to alarm you much but a routine care to be taken in such symptoms for best outcome.
If the EKG and cardiac checkup are normal symptomatic treatment as [er the finding will help you. And if this is related to cardiac problem, you get the best management.

I hope this answer helps you.
