What Causes Pain In Calf Muscles While Taking Off Prosthetic Legs?

Brief Answer:
water, vitamins
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for your question. The calf muscle that remains is put under tremendous pressure during the day when you are using your prosthetic. In order to keep it from having such severe spasms make sure that you are drinking plenty of water (2-3 liters daily, even more is better) and taking a multivitamin daily. Once you remove your prosthetic putting a cloth that has been soaked in warm water over the area for 10-15 minutes and then giving the muscle a gentle massage could also be helpful. If this does not work you may need to see your doctor for a muscle relaxant to take at night.
Best regards to you,

Do you see anything in my list of medications that could be making the problem worse? I take so much but I am told I need them all. Do you think any one or combination of them could bring it on?
Brief Answer:
not seen
Detailed Answer:
When I looked under medication list it says not specified. If you will send me your medications I will look at it and see if I see anything that cold make it worse. Usually diuretics are the worst offenders for causing cramping. Also I know that you said muscle relaxers make it worse but there are many types of muscle relaxers, even magnesium is used sometimes, and while one may not work, somethings one in another class may be helpful.
