What Causes Pain In Cheeks And Difficulty Opening Mouth?

Question: My wife has pain in her cheeks from last 2days. No pain in cheek bone and the teeth are also fine. The pain is more when she is opening her mouth.
Brief Answer:
pain in buccal mucosa
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Please mention the age of your wife.
according to your description there can a possibility of third molar eruption or it can be due to an impacted third molar.
second possibility is infection in temporo mandibular joint (TMJ) I.e. jaw joint.
if I would be your treating doctor I would advice you to take a muscle relaxant like zerodol MR.
if you can upload the xray or picture of that area in mouth I can tell you about the further
treatment.
Hope this answer helps.
