What Causes Pain In Left Shoulder And Under Left Rib?

I also get pain in my left breast that comes and goes as well that I do not experience on my right. I am 3 Months post gall bladder surgery and I was experiencing these symptoms and other symptoms before surgery. The Acid Reflux and Pain in Center of my abdomen went away but left side symptoms remain.
Over the years I have had a positive ANA but have not had a test in a couple of years with elevated CRP.
What is going on?
Pain in left shoulder with pain under left rib / Under Evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM .
Read and reviewed your query and health concerns.
My opinion-
In the given situation, especially in view of relief of acidity and abdominal central pain after Gall bladder surgery 3 mths back,You seem to suffer from-undiagnosed IBS with left diaphramatic irritation causing pain under left rib and periodic left shoulder pain. This is especially due to the accompanied 10 lb weight gain, which is adding to these complaints.
Pain in tender lymph node on right side of neck seems to be independent entity, for which any throat infection needs to be ruled out by Consults with ENT surgeon, if need be.
In view of the periodic left shoulder pain along with weight gain with your advanced age, Heart related angina, needs to be ruled out also, before starting any treatment in your complex case.
I would suggest you to Consult attending Surgeon, to rule out-undetected piles/fissure causing IBS in post op period. So also Consults and EKG study with Cardiac Specialist to rule out angina as a cause of left chest and periodic left shoulder pain, are needed, before start of any treatment in your case.
Further suggestions in this regard would need ore information /investigations after getting more details from You.
In view of old history of ANA, Fibromylagia with IBS, needs to be ruled out with rheumatologist consults, if need be.
Review of all above causes needs to be done in view of the 2 -C-sections,for I would suggest Gynec opinion, for any adhesive obstruction aggravating any of your multiple complaints.
In view of all these complaints,Right neck tender lymph node seems to be independent problem and would need treatment for any accompanied throat infections if need be from ENT specialist.
This brief reply is given on facts submitted, which needs to be verified from your attending doctors, with whom you can check before starting further changes in the treatment.
Hope this would help you to plan further treatment of this complex illness of yours.
