What Causes Pain In Left Side Of Abdomen Inspite Of Having Herniated Disc?

could be pancreatitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
The site and type of pain as described by you i.e. pain near the belly button going to the back, is usually associated with pancreatitis.
Your herniated disc are much lower, and so are your ovaries and diverticulitis pain.
Another possibility for this pain could be gastritis or renal stones.
But as you are traveling today, so I would suggest that you take a Proton Pump Inhibitor like tablet omeprazole or pantaprazole on empty stomach followed by a painkiller after half an hour with some food.
But when you get opportunity, I would suggest that you get an ultrasound of your abdomen to look at your pancreas and kidneys and a serum lipase and amylase test, for pancreatitis.
Further definitive management will depend upon reaching a diagnosis based upon the above results.
Hope, I have been helpful.
