What Causes Pain In Lower Jaw During Exercise?
I occasionally, during exercises such as swimming and fast walking feel pain in my lower jaw emanating from the right joint towards the left on the bottom of my lower jaw. I am concerned whether this is a cardiac problem. I exercise daily, stretching every morning, working out on equipment at the YMCA almost every other day and swimming 500 meters to 1000 meters the other days. I am almost 82 years old and have had RF ablation on both left and right atria, 4 and 8 years ago.

Detailed Answer:
thanks for your query, i have gone through your query. the pain in the jaw can be radiating from the cardiac problems like heart attack or myocardial infarction. since you are telling after excercising you are getting pain in the jaw it can be because of the cardiac problem. consult your oral physician get yourself examined to rule out the other causes of jaw pain like any infected tooth pr gum or temporomandibular joint disorders. even these conditions can cause jaw pain, if there is problem with these structures then treat accordingly.
if no problem in the teeth gums and TMJ then consult the cardiac physician immediatelyand get ECG and TMT done.
If it is because of the tooth or gum infection, if i am your treating doctor,i would suggest you to take a radiograph(IOPAR), course of antibiotics and analgesics and treat the tooth. if it is because of the TMJ then i would have advised you to take a radiograph (like OPG and TMJ view) to find out the bone changes in the jaw bone. take antiinflammatory, avoid biting hard things, give hot fomentaion over the jaw joint.
i hope my answer will help you take care. If any queries reply me back. take care.
