Question: Hello I am a 38 years old man. The past week I experience a mild pain at lower left abdominal. I also notice that my stool are softer than usual and I have a constant feeling of as if I am not fully empty. I also had last Monday bright red color blood in the toilet and Wednesday a minor quantity, I would say a drop. Let me inform you last month before the incidnet I kind of changed my diet inclyding more water and fibres and less meal. And 2 days after the incident I had an enema (to examine myself my anus) and the next day I noticed the blood. Please could you acess my situation?

Brief Answer:
Increase fibre in diet. Visit doctor for rectal exam

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through the details you have provided. The blood could be because of injury to the rectal mucosa because of your self examination.
Hypothyroidism could be one of the reasons for your symptoms. To check for hypothyroidism I would suggest to he a TSH test done.
I suggest you visit you doctor to ascertain the cause of the bleed whether it is due to self examination or due to fissure or internal hemorrhoids.
Increasing fibre by taking note fruits and green leafy vegetables will help. I would also suggest a fibre supplement like isapgulha husk to help with your stools.
hope this helps
