Ent diagnosed acid reflux. pain still continues down right side of neck, i can only describe it feels like pulled muscle, but haven't done anything to pull muscle
Brief Answer:
Tight muscle through coughing possible, local warmth advisable
Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,
a tense mucle can happen through intense coughing. That will usually heal itself once the infection is cured. In your case i would usually do a good clinical examination to rule out bronchitis or pneumonia and recommend otc cold medicine and resting/ inhaling steam and application of local warmth. Once the infection and cough gets better the muscle should normally also cure itself.
Best regards, wishing you well soon.
