What Causes Pain In Pelvic Area During Urination?

default
Posted on Wed, 25 Nov 2015
Question: I am experiencing a strange sensation when I am seated on the toilet and it occurs during urination.
The almost but not quite sensation seems to emanate from inside my pelvic area and spreads up to
both my shoulders and arms. I have had this for years during bladder infections and I thought all women
felt this odd almost exquisitely painful sensation but am learning that I am a minority of 1!
Should I see a urologist?
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Need physical examination by urologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
welcome to healthcare magic.

I have gone through your query.

I understand your concern.

In my opinion the pain in the pelvic area during urination might be due to renal stones or urinary tract infection(UTI).Both might coexist in some patients.

Recurrent UTI might be seen in some patients with menopause and uncontrolled diabetes etc.

I hope a urologist/physician can help you make an accurate diagnosis.

So I would suggest you to see a physician or urologist for further evaluation.

Complete urine examination, urine culture and sensitivity and ultrasound help in diagnosis.

Nothing to worry.Relax.

I hope my advice was helpful and if you need any clarification please do not hesitate to contact me further.
Best regards...Dr.Srilatha
