What Causes Pain In Penis And Groin Area?
Question: Hello. For the last 2 weeks I've been having pain on my penis and groin area, it comes and goes. I was prescibed Amoxicillin but so far appears not to be working. Yesterday morning and this morning my urine left a stinging sensation on the tip of my penis.
Brief Answer:
an infection?
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
it could be an infection (urethritis or other). You'd better do a urinalysis to identify elements of a potential infection.
Signs and symptoms to watch for include urgency to urinate (even without having too much urine), pain or discomfort on the genitals, a white drop coming out of the urethra in the morning before urinating.
Urethritis is possible if you've had unprotected sexual contact with a diseased person. Similar symptoms are shared by other infections of the urinary tract and sometimes even a stone which obstructs the outflow of urine in the lower part of the urinary tract may cause such symptoms. So testing is important.
Kind Regards!
