Brief Answer:
Can be a pinched nerve.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The mild pain inside the rib cage that radiates to the hip bone and leg is likely to be related to a pinched nerve. This can be due to a mild disc prolapse or muscle spasm also.
You can take a mild pain killer and do a hot compress in the area for relief. Taking methylcobalamin supplements will also help in case it is a nerve related cause.
I hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Can take 3-4 weeks.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If it is due to a disc bulge or a nerve root compression then you need medicines like pregabalin and vitamin B 12 supplements to make it better. Regular back strengthening exercises will also help. Can take 3-4 weeks of proper treatment after a proper diagnosis.
Hope my answer is helpful.
