What Causes Pain In Scrotum And Anal Area Post Surgery?
yes it looks like a muscle strain
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.
I understand your concern. But dont worry, it looks like a simple muscle strain. It can occur in patients having to urinate or deprecate in bed pans because their position is not correct and they have to put a lot of pressure in order to get it done. There are perineal muscles in the area you mentioned and there can be strain of those muscles.
I would suggest you the following-
Use normal modes to urinate and defaecate if possible. If you still have to use bed pans or jugs, find a comfortable position.
Apply ice locally in the painful area.
You can take tablet aceclofenac-thiocolchicoside for pain.
Take antacids or pantoprazole daily.
Do pelvic floor exercises for a few days.
You will be alright in few days.
You can consult your doctor for prescription of the above.
Hope this was useful.
Regards.
