Question : Hi, my name is XXXXXXX For some time now I have felt a pain near my stomach any time that I take a deep breath, and it feels similar to muscle soreness. I don't currently work out or play any sports, so I'm puzzled...It is more pronounced after eating a meal.

Brief Answer:
it could be gastritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your symptoms are that of gastritis.

I usually start my patients with similar complaints on ppi tablets like pantaprazole or omeprazole on empty stomach one hour before food. And I would advice you the same.

Also avoid tea, coffee, soda drinks and spicy foods.

Hope I have been helpful.

Dr. Ashish Verma
