Question: I had hernia repair months ago with mesh. when I sit in chair for awhile then stand up I get a stabbing pain in my groin area. Thanks

The pain after hernia mesh repair done months ago can be due to the following reasons:
Nerve entrapment in the scar that follows after any surgery.
Rarely can be due to the mesh being in touch with the mesh, but then the pain will be present since you come out of anesthesia and not develop later on.
