What Causes Pain In The Hip Radiating To The Leg?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
I felt some right hip discomfort yesterday and last night and thought I would do some stretch excercises this morning to see if that helped, but I think I made it worse now I can not walk without a lot of pain that goes from my right hip down thru my right knee to my foot.
I have never had this problem before and I don't think I have done anything to cause this, unless seating on a international flight for 9 hours last week and driving for 5 hours in a car Sunday?

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Pain from right hip all the way down to leg looks like sciatic pain and with history of such pain in past, recent travelling and long flights, this pain is worsened. Age related articular degeneration has also attributed for exacerbation. I would suggest taking a stronger NSAID painkillers, muscle relaxant, calcium and vitamin D supplements, full bed rest for a few days, stretching exercises and give these conservative measures a chance for a week. if the issue persists, seek a spine experts, they will weight the odds of different pain relief options and decide what is best for you. I recommend the above mentioned conservative one at age of 73.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
