What Causes Pain In The Hips While Sitting?

Question: hi, from couple of days I am feeling pain on hips .especially during sitting time. pls let me know what may be reason and treatment.

Could be due to Viral Infection.

Thanks for posting your query.

Pain in Hip region could be due to Viral Infection or due to Arthritis. If it has been there for only couple of days there it is most likely due to Viral Infection only.

Hence I recommend you to take Anti Inflammatory drugs like Zerodol P 2 times a day for 3 days . If pain still persists after 3 days then do revert back , in that case I shall advise you some tests to undergo .

Pain, Swelling and redness

Detailed Answer:
Pain in the joints which increases after period of rests and after doing certain amount of physical activities. Also there may be swelling and redness over and around the joints.

The duration of pain will be more than 2 weeks in most of the cases.
