What Causes Pain In The Lower Back And Abdomen After Recovering From Diverticulitis?

I was released from hospital after a diverticulitis flare up, that was nine months ago. I feel mostly well, passing food normal(ish), et al. Since my release I've had a pain in my lower back and abdomen, almost directly across from one another and I have had vague joint pain, in arms and feet, and hip feels it needs to crack at times. It feels like a pinched series of nerve in my back, that occasionally will radiate through limbs but mostly stays isolated to right hip. I have been prescribed Xanax for stress (related to the anxiety of the flare up) Flexarol for relaxants and Tramadol for pain. I have also been receiving massage therapy on back and hips and seeing a chiropractor once a week to offset this discomfort. Some days it feels as though there are bubbles running up my spine and limbs and into the lower part of my skull, which naturally adds to the tension and anxiety of the situation. As I also have a benign tumor on the lining of my brain, I'm wondering if these are related or distinct from one another. The benign cyst is on the lining of my brain and is the size of a walnut behind and under my left eye. (I've forgotton the exact nomenclature for its location in my skull. )
As all my glands are normal and my blood work is alright, i had my yearly physical, one month ago.
I'm wondering if this something to be concerned about or if its more than likely the result of nerve inflammation in my colon from the diverticualr flare up. Two of my physicians, both my GP and my internal surgeon, who chose not to operate as I responded well to the antibiotic treatment, have attributed this to nerve pain from the infection in my colon.
Should I be more concerned about the discomfort, or is this a part of the healing process?
Looks to be fibromyalgia.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Read the history carefully and understood your concerns.
The symptoms looks most probably due to a condition called as fibromyalgia and is usually connected to the stress and/or anxiety one has.
Over the months the chronically sick muscle fibers get converted to fibrous tissues and hence cause the pain and other symptoms as you have described so well.
The more you are concerned, the more will be symptoms and discomfort.
The moment you start relaxing your thoughts as you have vented out about possible flare-up of diverticulitis, your back pains will be reduced.
Proper medications to be continued as you are taking them already.
The benign cyst on the front portions is called cyst in the frontal area cyst and is related to the personality of a person only if they cause any symptoms of compression; a benign cyst on the lining of brain in this area can cause changes in the personality only, but may not cause anything more dangerous unless they grow very large causing compression on the brain.
Please continue with the medication and reduce your stress and/or anxiety, or get the proper increase in dosages of medicines.
Feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
