Question : Hi the bottom of my throat like right below my XXXXXXX apple hurts when i stretch it out and when I cough, it barely hurts when I swallow and when i cough its a very hoarse, weak and dry cough, I don't have a cough per say but the cough sounds much different then it normally does when i cough.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

Looking at your symptoms, you might probably be suffering from Laryngitis (Inflammation in the Larynx-voice box).

You might get relief by taking the following medication:
Analgesic with Antiinflammatory like Ibuprofen,
Antacid like Rantac,
Antihistaminic like Cetrizine,
Cough suppressant like Dextromethorphan.

Also do steam inhalation.Avoid cold,spicy and oily food.Take voice rest for a few days.Speak only if necessary.Dont shout or whisper.Speak after taking deep breath in a soft voice.Drink lots of warm fluids.Avoid dust.
