What Causes Pain In The Right Rib Cage Radiating To The Back?
Question: Intense pain travelling from right ribcage to back. Is it gas?

It would be great if you gave me some more information,if you have or not other symptoms.
Do you have nausea,vomiting?
The pain is below your rib cage? There where your liver is. Or in the rib cage, in the pulmonary area? If you touch where it hurts,does it hurt more?
Gas passing in your colon is an option. But gallstone is another option and even an inflammation of your pancreas is another option. (If the pain is under the rib cage,in the upper right quadrant.
If the pain is in your thorax, than i don't think that gas passing through your colon has anything to do. Do you have heavy breathing? Fever?

Good signs that you do not have other symptoms.
That means that probably it is nothing to be worried.
Just to be sure we need to do an ultrasound of your abdomen. This way we will be able to check your gallbladder for stones,the biliar ducts, pancreas,colon and your right kidney.
Gallstones is a possible diagnose, that can give you the pain that you describe.
Also rarely,even kidney stone might explain the pain.
We will be checking the colon if it is full with gas or not to explain your pain.
Depending from the resulst of the ultrasound we will be able to tell if you need or not blood tests.
Meanwhile try to have a healthy diet, fresh fruits and vegetables, low fat diet, no fries, no fast food and alcohol free.
