What Causes Pain In The Right Upper Quadrant After Taking Fatty Meal?
Question: White female, age 60, mildly obese. Persistent upper righthand quadrant pain upon waking in the morning. Described as a "stitch" or "flip-flop". US neg, EGD neg, bloods normal but thyroid nodule (benign) + Hashimoto's disease. T3, etc. all WNL. Abdominal CT 2 years prior neg, colonoscpoy 1 year prior neg. Gallbladder scan next.
Would GB disease present as pain on an EMPTY stomach, several hours after last meal? I thought classic GB was syptoms soon after a fatty meal. Thanks!
