I would explain as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to a musculo-skeletal pain or irradiating pain from a bulged cervical disk.

Is the pain modulated by respiration or body movements? Does the pain limit the movements in the shoulder? All these pain charachteristics would be compatible with a musculo-skeletal pain or a cervical disk bulging.

For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a cervical spine X ray study
- a shoulder X ray study
- complete blood count
- PCR and sedimentation rate for inflammation
- a resting ECG to exclude any possible cardiac implication, although your symptoms are not typical of any cardiac disorders (including myocardial ischemia).

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Feel free to ask me again whenever you have any other questions!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
