What Causes Pain In The Shoulder Radiating To The Collarbone And Neck?

Question: Hi i am a 29 year old female, slender build, healthy, non smoker non drinker (only 1 on special occasions) About one month ago i had shoulder pain that raidiates into my collerbone and neck. Also one time after i drank one alcoholic beverage later that night it became more sore. So i starting googling lymphoma and became worried. I went to the dr and had CBC done and a chest xray. Both came back normal. I was still worried so a week later had a CT scan done of my pelvis/abdomen/chest. It came back normal. Few weeks later i felt a swollen node. Saw another dr who said i shouldnt worry because i had a cold two weeks before that. To reassure mr he orderd a ultra sound of the lymph node in my neck and another CBC. Both came back normal. I am just wondering if i should still be worried or not?!

Side note neck pain still there but shoulder/collerbone pain have gone

Brief Answer:
This is not lymphoma

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

Pain is not usually a sign of lymphoma. And most of the pain is gone now, which is good. Lymph node enlargement can be a sign of lymphoma but as I understand, the lymph nodes were small and probably related to throat infection.

Moreover, ultrasound and CT scan have ruled out lymphoma. So there is absolutely nothing to worry about here.

Hope this helps.
