What Causes Pain In The Thigh Muscles?

default
Posted on Mon, 15 May 2017
Question: I started having pain in my enter thigh area and felt the pain move across the outside of both legs, into my butt then upwards into my stomach muscles and back. Skin is sensitive to the touch with a stinging rash like pain, and my stomach muscles feel like pain from too many situps and back sore. It is painful when my underwear rubs on my skin. Very sensitive skin. I have no signs of skin irritation or bruising. The pain has been ongoing for six days. I feel that the pain is still moving upwards. I notice this in the morning when I wake.
What should I do?
Thank you kindly, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Seems like a pinched nerve.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

From what you are describing it seems like you are having a pinched nerve which is originated from your back. Maybe you have done a movement that has pulled the never and what you are feeling are the effects of its inflammation.

Continue using the painkillers you are using. Stop Tramadol after using it for 5 days in a row, because we don't want you to be dependent on it.
Keep being active but not overusing- bed rest it is not recommended, so that it why the pain feels worse in the morning.
IF you can access the services of a physical therapist, you may benefit from it if this pain lasts more then 6 weeks.

If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor (especially if not better after 2 months).
If any other symptoms appear, let me know and I will advise accordingly.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako
