What Causes Pain In The Thigh Post Hip Replacement?

Question: Hi, I had an anterior hip replacement on February 24th. I continue to have bursitis in that hip. My question is - I have pain down the side on my thigh (outside) like it is bruised. Is this normal after all this time?

It is possible effect of surgery since muscles are damaged and may take months for full recovery. But also it may be significantly of vein thrombosis or muscles abscess so you should do ultrasound for the beginning if symptoms persist. Wish you good health. Regards
