Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Any leg trauma can cause
bone fracture, blood collection in the soft tissues, veins
thrombosis or arteries blockage. Most of this conditions does not have to give symptoms right away after the accident.
Bone fracture sometimes can give not much symptoms and it is hard to believe that any fracture has occurred.
Blood collection causes
hematoma (bruising does not have to be present if the blood is in the deeper soft tissues). If the hematoma is present long enough, it can get infected and result with an abscess.
Veins thrombosis should cause pain (especially in the calf), swelling, increased leg temperature.
Arteries blockage causes pale leg,
paresthesia, lack of pulse. The temperature is colder than the other leg.
I suggest you to visit your doctor and have this conditions ruled out. X-ray will rule out the fracture. Soft tissues
ultrasound will tell if there is any fluid collection. Dopplers ultrasound will tell about the veins and arteries condition.
Hope this will help.
Regards.
