What Causes Pain In The Throat And Difficulty In Swallowing?
Question: mildly sore on right side of larynx to touch, mildly sore when swallowing sometime radiates to ear especially if yawning.no other symptems,maybe a little dry in throat, tried antibiotcs,not infection,like it for a couple months, nonsmoker maybe feeling lump in throat when swallowing but this may be anxiety

I understand your concern and sorry to hear about your problem
Your symptoms could be due to chronic laryngitis.
It could be due to allergy, voice abuse, infection, chronic acid reflux, chemical or irritant exposure.
Detail examination by ENT specialist, laryngoscopy and barium swallow study will help you.
Following advice will help you:
Try Tablet esmoprazole 30 minutes before the meal for 3 week
Syrup mucaine 30 minutes before the meal can be useful
Tablet advil two times a day for 5 days
Drink plenty of lukewarm water
Take small and more frequent meals
Avoid spicy food, caffeine and alcohol
Do gargle with betadine
Steam inhalation and humidifier
