Brief Answer:
Reflux oesophagitis and pharyngitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You either have a pharngitis because of infection or a reflux of acid from the stomach to the food pipe and the pharynx. This acid reflux irritates and reddens the throat area. The acidity medicine works after a week only. so continue it
I suggest you to do the following:
1) Warm and salt water gargles three times a day.
2) Do not sleep for one and half hours after having food.
3) Take Tab Pan 40mg once a day half an hour before breakfast for 10 days.
4) No spicy food, coffee, peppermint and eat small meals and not till your stomach fills
5) Increase water intake before meal and not during or after meal.
Please let me know how do you feel after one week.

Brief Answer:
Antibiotics are not needed until proven to be Hpylori infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If there is a proven infection caused by H pylori bacteria we recommend a triple therapy with a combination antibiotic. Till then we just treat with anti ulcer therapy. The cost to prove the infection is high when compared to trial therapy with anti ulcer drugs.
If you want you can get a blood test for Serum Ig G levels for H.Pylori bacteria. If the antibodies are high we can start antibiotics.
