What Causes Pain In The Thumb And Forefinger?
Question: My daughter in law had a sudden onset of pain in her web area of left thumb and forefinger. It started swelling and the pain moved further into the joint. She experienced tingling of the face and sought help at a local emergency clinic. At the clinic, they mentioned stroke, and the fact of her being a smoker and the correlation to aiding to bring about a stroke. She is in her middle 40's and she was sent hope after being given an antibiotic, Tylenol 3 and having done x-rays.. Their possible diagnosis was related to stroke, and gout.
