Question: When I press on my upper left stomach, right below my left breast, it hurts, like a dull but painful feeling. Only when I press on it though. I can feel the pain in the center of my abdomen as well when I push on it. I also have a hard time getting a deep breath. Im lactose and tolerant. with GERD

Brief Answer:
its mostly gastritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Your symptoms are mostly of gastritis.

I would suggest that you take a ppi like omeprazole or pantaprazole and as you are having gerd also, a combination of a gastric motility enhancer like levosulpride will be more effective. But for the prescription you need to see your local doctor.

Alternatively you can try over the counter antacids and prilosec OTC and see if you get better.

Also avoid tea, coffee, soda drinks and spicy foods.

Hope i have been helpful.

Regards
Dr. Ashish Verma
