Brief Answer:
Meralgia parenthetica or Neuropathy probable cause

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Cause of your symptoms may be Meralgia Paresthetica, a condition when a superficial upper leg nerve is compressed along its way.

Another cause may be Neuropathy ( Diabetic, toxic etc).

Localization is not typical, but schiatica is another possible cause of your symptoms.

Those symptoms need a clinical and neurological evaluation by a Neurologist.

Nerve conduction study ( ENMG) help in obtaining the correct diagnosis.

Treatment is decided after the correct diagnosis.

In your case Gabapentin or Lyrica ( Pregabalin) may help improve symptoms if you are not alergic, but this matter needs to be discussed with your treating Doctor.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
