What Causes Pain On The Knees??

default
Posted on Sat, 2 Jul 2016
Question: The last few days I have had pain behind the backs of my knees. It feels like poor circulation and seems to come on by standing in one place. For example, when I'm washing my face. I only get relief from laying down with my legs straight so I can stretch them. I'm wondering if this is something I should be alarmed about?

Brief Answer:
X ray of knees suggested.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Although the mentioned problem does not seem to be alarming it is worthwhile to get an X ray of both the knees (AP and lateral) done. The things to look for are signs of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. As such proper exercise should help in strengthening the muscles of the lower limb and help in bridging over the problem, the findings of the X ray would help in determining how much exersise would be fine.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
