What Causes Pain Under Rib When Suffering From Gall Bladder Polyps?

Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query well and would try to answer in best of my capacity.
Gall bladder polyps in general are benign but few polyps can turn into cancer.
Although gall bladder cancer is a rare disease but gall bladder polyps are very common and this makes them very important.
Gall bladder polyps are not known to cause any symptoms,in general.
Symptoms are encountered by people who have associated gall bladder stones or if polyps are large and near the mouth of gall bladder. In such cases, symptoms arise because of obstruction of bile flow.
Although you are having symptoms of GERD and gastritis but a polyp of size of 4 mm is unlikely to cause these symptoms.
The general protocol for treatment is to surgically remove the polyp,if it is bigger than 10mm.Polyps between 5-10 mm are followed up by regular follow ups every 6 months and polyps below 5mm in size are ignored
A general advice in such cases is to wait and watch and get an ultrasound abdomen repeated after 6 months. In case you find it growing, then you may get it removed.
But if you or your doctor feel that the symptoms are unbearable and because of polyp only, then a removal can be contemplated.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
