Brief Answer:
Probable Peptic ulcer?

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I understand your concern.

Your symptoms are probably suggestive of Peptic ulcer.

I advise you to get an Upper GI endoscopy for visualization of any abnormality.

Meanwhile take Antacids like Tab.Pantop 40 mg before breakfast.

Avoid smoking and alcohol if any,

Post your further queries,

Thank you.

I also had a endoscopy......took 6 biopsy...5 were fine the 6th showed some reflux....no ulcer.....The pain that concerns me is the discomfort under my right ribs and the burning in my stomach....I know something is wrong a person should not feel this bad a everything comes back normal.....what other test should I consider? I'm 65.... I weight 135 at 5'4"....I don't drink or smoke.....I get lots of exercise.......I have done a food chart and nothing conclusive. ....The only meds I take is sythroid and small dose of estrogen.....what else would cause sever hot flashes other than menopause? What other blood test should I concider?

Brief Answer:
24 Hr pH monitoring and Manometry will be helpful.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam,

I understand your concern.

I advise you 24 Hour pH monitoring and Manometry to quantify the severity of acid reflux.

These tests are excellent supplements to Endoscopy.

Synthyroid can cause hot flushes as one of its dose related side effects other than Menopause.

Pertaining to this, blood tests for serum T3,T4,TSH should be done.

Post your further queries if any,

Thank you.
