What Causes Painful Hard Lump Inside Belly Button?

Question: I have been suffering pains from what seems to be a hard lump inside my bellow button. If I put my finger in my belly button I can feel a lump. Do you know what that can be as I am very worried?

Hi.
You can feel a lump in belly button and it is painful and is hard.
It is most probably a small umbilical hernia with entrapped fat giving you the symptoms.
Another rare possibility is of a granuloma or a cyst.
I would advise to repeat a high resolution ultrasonography scan telling the Ultrasonologist to specifically look for it and a clinical that is physical examination by a Surgeon to confirm and get ready for exploration and correction of the defect.

No, not at the moment .

Dear XXXXX
The above ailments will not interfere with fertility at all. But may trouble you once you get pregnant and go into advanced stages that the stretched abdominal girth can cause a problem.
If by chance your Doctors suggest for diagnostic Laparoscopy or so for your fertility problem , you may very well ask them to correct this defect at the same sitting.
