Now from last 3 month i was having many times these sores . Problems that increase my anxiety , as you told me that i dont have such level of blood sugar that can cause symptoms, then my mind goes towards hiv, because near about all symptoms i am having related to hiv, and these symptoms are not possible only due to stress, and i know stress also be a possible symptom of hiv, now my question is does these sores or mouth ulcer is possible due to high blood sugar?
And my test result of hba1c is 6.9% , i was checking on internet that above 6.5 is diabeties, how in my case its not? Which test is more accurate? Fasting blood test or hba1c.?
I knw my all questions are related to same topic because my symptoms are also similar. I was having rahses , mouth ulcer, lymp node in neck that i think i was having ,stomach problem all these are related to hiv.
And muscle twitchings are also adding more stress

Hello XXXXXXX
I apologize for the delay but is seems there was a sort problem because I was able to read your question only now and I can see that you posted it 13 hours ago.
I am sorry for that.
The real cause for mouth sores (canker sores ) is still unknown. Some common causes include :emotional stress ,cheek bite,Vit B12, folate, iron deficiency, brushing the teeth too roughly, toothpaste that contain additive sodium lauryl sulphate.
In most of causes no specific cause is detected.
Sometimes they are related to some autoimmune gastrointestinal disease (Celiac disease, Inflammatory bowel diseases, such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis etc).In this casse you also would have other specific symptoms related to these conditions.
Having high blood sugar can cause such oral problems ,although in your case the level of blood sugar is not so high to cause it.
It is true that canker sores are more frequent in people with HIV .In this case they are bigger ,last more and are difficult to treat.
Unfortunately the only way to know for sure that it is not HIV is to get tested.
Try to brush your teeth gently and use a ultra smooth brush.
Rinse your mouth with salt water several times a day or use an antiseptic mouthwash
Regarding the level of HbA1c is high ,what means that the level of sugar in blood has been high at least for the last 3 months,it doesn't means you have diabetes. This test is not used to diagnose diabetes.Fasting blood sugar and glucose tolerance test are the diagnostic tests.
Since your fasting blood sugar is in the upper limit of normal range ,it can't be diagnosed as diabetes.
It might be prediabetes, that requires management to prevent diabetes.

i know my questions are long but my level of anxiety badly changed with these problems. every time i start managing my symptoms something bad happened and all of these symptoms are related to hiv. as you told me that only option is to test for hiv. but dr first i am not having such courage in these days. and 2nd if i have hiv then there is nor solution in testing. but i will plan to do that in near future. but as per my sexual act i checked many times on internet that chances are very less of getting hiv, but the symptoms are related to that. now please tell me how to manage these things . ? and these sores could be possible due to dry fruits eating? and one more thing from some days i am walking more , and i felt that my stomach is improving but the level of stress and anxiety can create again problem.
And one question that is out of my mind or i am unable to understand is, if my blood glucose level is not as much high to diagnose as diabeties or create problems. Then how you relate the rash with glucose level.?

Hello XXXXXX,
I read carefully your questions and I can understand that you are concerned about your health because HIV is a scary disease but you should know that there are no specific symptoms of HIV.
Usually it doesn't cause any symptoms at all for years until the immune system becomes incompetent causing symptoms of frequent infections and other problems.
So skin infections, rashes, mouth sores are frequent in people with HIV but this doesn't means that in your case they are due to HIV.
The only reason to suspect HIV is the history of unprotected sexual intercourse with a high risk person ,when you don't know for sure if the person is HIV negative.Otherwise there is no reason to suspect HIV because you have skin rashes and mouth sores or other common problems.
These symptoms in your case are really confined ,like small rash that resolves in few days, small mouth sores that also resolve in few days. This means that other common causes should be taken in consideration like stress, high blood sugar, diet etc.
Considering the fact that you had protected intercourse and that these symptoms are confined ,there is no reason to be worried about HIV ,even though rash and mouth sores are common in HIV patients.
Regarding your mouth sores ,eating acidic, citrusy, and spicy foods might trigger them.Allergy to certain foods can cause mouth sores. If the mouth sores happen always after eating a specific type of food, it might be the cause.
Eating dry fruits is not known to cause mouth sores but it may cause if you are allergic to them.
Many people have recurrent mouth sores that are benign and not associated with any disease.
Since your mouth sores are small and resolve quickly ,and you don't have any other symptoms of any underlying condition that would be associated with mouth sores, you don't need to worry.
The blood sugar level in your case in not high enough to cause problems like muscle twitching and vibration sensations but it can cause skin problems like dry skin, pimples ,rashes because skin is a very sensitive organ.
Stress in another big factors of skin problems because the hormones produced during stress affect the sebaceous gland of skin causing pimples.
I can't tell you for sure the cause of such symptoms but they are not indicative of a specific serious disease.
I think that if you focus more on managing the stress and anxiety ,your symptoms will improve.
Hope it helps.Thank you again for trusting me with your medical questions.I really appreciate your trust.

Hello again.
I can't tell it for sure without seeing it but since it is in the both sides and doesn't cause any problem ,it is not of concern. If you can send me picture to know what do you refer to ,would be really helpful.
Well, prediabetes refers to the situation when the blood sugar is over the normal range but not high enough to be diabetes.
If fasting blood sugar is between 100-125 mg/dl it is called prediabetes.
A fasting blood sugar over 126 mg/dl is diagnosed as diabetes.
HbA1c over 6.5 % is considered diabetes but this should be confirmed on two separates tests.
Prediabetes doesn't cause any sign or symptoms. It usually is diagnosed from routine tests. When you start having symptoms ,it means that probably diabetes has developed.
The good thing here is thata strict diet and physical activity ca avoid the progression of prediabetes on diabetes.
Usually without any measure ,it may take 10 or more years for it to progress to diabetes.

Hello XXXXXXX
I can understand your concern but probably your symptoms of stomach upset and soft stool start right after the incident because you were stressed and thinking about HIV or it was just a coincidence.
The hot feeling in hands and feet might be due to flu.In this case you will have other symptoms like fever, running nose, watery eyes, cough etc.
It is difficult to tell the cause right now.You need to give it some time.If this feeling persist for some time ,then it needs evaluation.
Hypothyroidism and Vit B deficiency are common causes and should be excluded.
If your HbA1c will be over 6.5 % in the next test ,it can be diagnosed as diabetes.
It is possible to have high levels of blood sugar (prediabetes) for some time without knowing because it usually doesn't cause any symptoms and it is found during routine tests.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Considering your symptoms of throat irritation and tiredness ,probably you are having a viral infection that can also the cause for the hot feeling on hands and feet.
I would suggest to give it some time (1-2 weeks) and if the hot sensations persist ,then run the tests to exclude hypothyroidism.
There is no connection between this test and HIV.
The test is called TSH test (thyroid-stimulating hormone ) and is used to evaluate the function of thyroid gland.
Let me know if you have any other question.
Take care.
