What Causes Painful Swallowing After An Injury To Throat?

Question: I got hit in the throat 15 or 20 times tonight not a full punch but with an open hand in a chocking motion if that makes sense it hurts quite a bit to swallow

It might have caused injury of esophagus and trachea.this is to be examined and assessed. antiinflamatory analgesic can be taken. take liquid diet for 3to 4days.

So i should go to emergency or can i just take aleve and go to sleep and see how it is in morning

Take some rest and in morning if it does not subside then get it examined by surgeon. I hope with rest and taking liquid diet you will feel better. I do not feel it is worrisome.
